If you are getting the following errorstack :

logWriter : I/O error closing file
Check your dude.cfg file and make sure that the parameter LOG_FILE only specifies a filename. The full path is defined by LOG_DIR/LOG_FILE.
Example :
LOG_FILE = "/mnt/u03/orarestore/dude.log"
should be
LOG_FILE="dude.log"
